1 Year and Thankful

It has been one year today since we said goodbye to our girl Ramona. We still miss her. This year has been busy but somewhat empty without a dog in the house. Luckily we have many dogs in our life to fill that void. This time of year I am thankful for the usual things, family, friends, and my lovely GF. This year in particular I am thankful for our crazy cat HC who meets us at the door every time we come in the apartment. He is mostly a pain in the ass, but makes us laugh at his horribleness. Having him and his big personality around really helped with our transition to a dogless house. I know not everyone agrees but pets are really special.
I am also thankful for all those wonderful doggies who we hung out with and visited us this year and provided us the dog love we so desperately missed.

This weekend we are taking care of an Australian Shepard and we hope she herds HC around. We are grateful for all these wonderful dogs in our life and look forward to adopting a dog sometime after this winter is over. I think we will be ready again.
